Assistance For Homeowners Is Now Available!

The Illinois Emergency Homeowner Assistance Fund (ILHAF) program is now OPEN

Eligible households may now apply for up to $30,000 in free assistance to pay past due mortgage payments, property taxes, property insurance, and delinquent homeowner and/or condo association fees.

Created by the American Rescue Plan Act, ILHAF is  designed to prevent mortgage delinquencies and defaults, foreclosures, loss of utilities or home energy services and displacement of homeowners experiencing financial hardship after January 21, 2020. Approximately $309 million in emergency assistance will be available to Illinois homeowners (read the press release here.)
